The School of Demography, ANU recently collaborated with the IUSSP Scientific Panel on Lifespan Extension with Varying Cause-of-death Trajectories, the Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Max Planck Odense Center for an IUSSP Seminar on Mortality analysis and forecasting, held in New Delhi, India, 6-8 April 2017. Professor Heather Booth presented a paper on Mortality Forecasting with Standards to the scientific program.

On this visit Professor Booth also visited the University of Lucknow Population Research Centre at the invitation of ANU alumnus Assoc Prof Rajesh Chauhan. She gave two lectures: 'Mortality Forecasting with Standards' and ‘Ageing in Asia’.
